& Drink Expo 2006
Redbridge exhibited
at the Food & Drink Expo for the second time this March.
The exhibition incorporates the foodservice, manufacturing,
retail, wholesale and export sectors, and is held alongside
four other major food and drink industry events including
the Convenience Retailing Show.
On the stand we were promoting our foodservice
operation, our 5 A Day convenience range, our fresh fruit
snacking range, and a new concept snacking range of dried
fruit, nuts and seeds. The response was extremely encouraging,
with visitors to the stand interested in how Redbridge could
help to benefit their company, whether they were from a sandwich
shop, a chain of convenience outlets or a major department
store.
The new concept snacking range of dried
fruit, nuts and seeds was the surprise star of the show, with
interest well exceeding out expectations. Group
Marketing Manager, Sally Cleary Corbett had been tasked with
finding a new line of healthy products to add to our current
fresh fruit snacking range and decided to take the concept
to the show to monitor the reaction.
We had approximately 200 leads from
the show which have been allocated to the Business Development
Managers to follow up. We have already launched the 5 A Day
convenience range in our Wigan and Southampton depots, who
are currently supplying product to Londis, T&M Retail
and independent stores.
