Casual
for Charity - £600 raised for good causes
Every Friday Peterborough Head Office
holds a "dress down day" where staff can leave the
suit at home and wear jeans to work. (Hooray!) The "fee"
for this is a £1 donation to charity. Staff suggest
their favourite charities and one is drawn from the hat each
month to receive the donations - usually around £35-£50
a time. 12 charities in 2004 - including Crisis, Macmillan
Nurses, Alzheimers and the NSPCC - received £600 between
them, thanks to the generosity of Redbridge staff.
Head Office accounts staffer Hazel Newell
completed a 13,000ft tandem skydive last year with her husband
and two friends. Together they raised £1800 for Great
Ormond Street Children's Hospital.
Not to be outdone, a group of staff
from our Caterfresh division are planning a parachute jump
this March to raise funds for the Francis House Children's
Hospice. Anyone wishing to sponsor them please contact claire.megarry@caterfresh.com
