RP&F gets BRC Seal of Approval
The RP&F
distribution business is continuing to grow at a rapid rate,
and is now a third bigger than at the start of 2005. New business
wins have been achieved in the public health and education
sectors across the UK, as well as in the private sector.
This new kind of business has ever more
demanding requirements in terms of the operational standards
we need to consistently achieve in our facilities, particularly
in being able to guarantee food safety.
To enhance our proposition to customers,
we decided to apply for accreditation to the BRC (British
Retail Consortium) standard at key sites. This is widely used
by the major supermarkets and involves detailed audits of
a range of policies and procedures, all designed to ensure
that we reach high standards of food safety, product quality
and customer satisfaction.
RP&F branches Gateshead, Hereford, Wigan,
Bristol, Southampton, Leicester and Cardiff have all been
granted the highly valued BRC accreditation.
These audits are extremely complex and require
great commitment from the staff at each site and so congratulations
should go to all those involved in this success.
