Redbridge Produce & Flowers has been awarded the contract to supply Shropshire County Council's school and social care kitchens with fresh fruit and vegetables.

250 primary schools, secondary schools, nursing homes and day centres in the Shropshire area will receive regular delivery of fresh produce from Redbridge's Stoke and Hereford branches. 3 extra staff at Stoke, and 2 extra staff at Hereford have been recruited to service this new account, which sees the first produce delivered on 6 June 2005.

Deliveries to the schools and care centres will be dovetailed with those to existing customers, ensuring that Redbridge keeps its commitment to reduce carbon emissions and the impact of heavy lorries on the local environment.
