Designer Workshops get great reception
 The
first two Designer Workshops hosted by Redbridge Produce &
Flowers took place at the end of September in Bristol and
Cardiff. They are the first of an autumn programme which sees
workshops in Gateshead (11th October), Liverpool (23rd October)
and Southampton (25th October).

The designer for these workshops, Peter
van der Sluis, is only 25, but has already achieved more than
most florists twice his age. Peter has eight international
awards and competition wins, and has worked on the Dutch royal
wedding, Hortifair, and Floriade; he has demonstrated right
around the world, and has been running his own business since
the age of 19.
He demonstrated four designs for the florists
to follow and repeat; then he also showed half a dozen fast
and stylish ways to present two or three stems of flowers
and foliage - few flowers, but big impact.
