Florist Workshops A Great Success

A series of seven Redbridge Designer workshops took place during September and October at locations around the UK. Dutch designer Jaap Wisse, who has demonstrated to sell-out audiences all over the world, led a four hour hands-on workshop at each location (except for Gateshead where UK designer Ian Lloyd admirably substituted). Rather than just sitting and watching a demonstration, florists attending could have a go themselves at making the arrangements.

All the flowers, foliages, containers and sundries materials were provided free of charge by Redbridge in conjunction with our Dutch suppliers. Jaap demonstrated how to make each of four pieces in new European styles, then the florists followed his directions to produce their own bouquets. Jaap ensured that all florists received his personal attention, helping out where necessary or offering support and advice.
